A team of runners from the Nye County Sheriff's Office hit the pavement this past weekend for the Baker to Vegas Challenge Cup Relay. The 120-mile trek takes runners and support staff through Pahrump along the way. And this was the first year back for the annual event, which was canceled the last two years due to the pandemic. NCSO Lieutenant Harry Williams was one of 24 runners from the Nye County team. Of the more than 200 teams this year, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Elite Running Team took first place, with a time of just under 13 hours, 40 minutes.
