The Alzheimer’s Foundation is offering a free educational conference specifically for Nevada residents on April 6th. It will feature local expert speakers. Attendees will learn about topics such as healthy aging tips, research, long-term care planning, caregiver tips and strategies, and local resources. This conference should greatly benefit many local families. There are more than 49,000 people in Nevada living with Alzheimer’s disease and that number is growing exponentially ( it is expected to increase to approximately 64,000 by 2025). When you take into consideration, the family caregivers who are impacted by this disease, we are talking about more than 100,000 Nevada residents who are impacted by the disease.
