The Nevada Highway Patrol and other law enforcement agencies -- including the Nye County Sheriff's Office -- will be Joining Forces through September 13th to apprehend impaired drivers. In 2018, 133 people died on Nevada's roadways in impaired driving crashes. In fact, the highway patrol says Nevada is currently experiencing a 10-year spike in fatal car crashes. Lieutenant Adam Tippetts, with the Nye County Sheriff's Office, says their mission is to keep the public safe by stopping people driving while impaired on Nevada's highways.
