August 7th is Purple Heart Day. And Saturday evening, dozens of people gathered at Chief Tecopa Cemetery in Pahrump, to honor and remember military servicemembers who've received a Purple Heart. Just last week, Nye County Commissioners signed a proclamation recognizing August 7 as Purple Heart Day in the Town of Pahrump.
