The Nye County Sheriff's Office is mourning the death of former deputy and candidate for sheriff Thomas O'Donnell, who died over the weekend. Today is also the 11th anniversary of the death of deputy Ian Deutch. Historically, April has been a deadly month for law enforcement in Nye County. To recognize O'Donnell's service, and to honor those who've lost their lives in the line of duty, Nye County law enforcement officers will shroud their badges through Peace Officer Memorial Day on May 15th.
