The Nye County Sheriffs Office has taken one suspect into custody on Kings Way in Pahrump. The man who is said to have had previous history including attempted murder of a Las Vegas police officer was randomly shooting in the neighborhood off Homestead Road. The extremely tense active shooting incident lasted over two hours with bullets flying over officers heads as the suspect shot at them while barricaded in his trailer. After breaching the house, SWAT Team members were able to take the suspect, preliminary identified as Steve Burson, into custody. No injuries have been reported. Burson was taken to the Nye County Sheriffs Office Detention center and booked for attempted murder of a police officer.
