On September 26th, the Nye County Sheriff's Office graduated 9 new deputies in a ceremony that was celebrated socially-distant and via Zoom. There were guest speakers, awards presentations, badge pinnings and a swearing in ceremony. Sheriff Sharon Wehrly spoke to News 25 about the academy, COVID, the training these new deputies completed and challenges they will face.
