Pahrump Valley Fire & Rescue Remembers Events of 9/11

19 years ago today, terrorists used jetliners to wage the largest attack ever on American soil. Four passenger jets were hijacked that day. Two were flown into the World Trade Center towers in New York City, causing the collapse of both towers. Another crashed into the Pentagon. And the fourth crashed into a field in rural Pennsylvania as passengers and crew tried to regain control of the plane. In all, nearly three thousand people were killed in the attacks. And 19 years later, it's a day no one will forget. Pahrump Valley Fire and Rescue Chief Scott Lewis says the anniversary is a somber reminder of the tragic events of that day.
