Nye County is vying for a 24-million-dollar grant to rebuild Bell Vista Road and Bob Ruud Memorial Highway in Pahrump. That money would come from the Nevada Federal Lands Access Program. And county commissioners have taken the first step in the grant application process, by approving the expenditure of ten thousand dollars to help pay for an assessment of the scope of work needed for the project. Director of Public Works Tim Dahl says it's a fantastic opportunity for the county.
