Gov. Sisolak Announces Phase 1 Reopening Plan

Who may reopen?

 

Restaurants -- including bars, HOWEVER bars that *only* serve alchohol may *not* reopen. No gaming restaurants will open. If a bar *also* serves food it may open for dine-in business. Employees must wear face coverings. Guests are encouraged to also wear face coverings....?

 

Barber shops, hair salons, etc. may open with strong social distancing protocols in place. This includes cube walls/partitions, chairs that are placed 6 feet apart. Appt only. No walks ins. One cust per stylist. All staff must wear face masks. Clients are also urged to wear face coverings.

 

Retail business may now reopen to up to 50% of capacity.

 

Malls - open air -- same as business standards.  Indoor malls remain closed.

 

Auto, rec vehicles business may now reopen to up to 50% of capacity.

 

Face Masks are *required* for all retail business employees.

 

Strong recommendation that everybody wears face masks in general.

 

Just as with Easter, Mother's Day get togethers are strongly discouraged.

 

 

Not reopening 

 

(alcohol-only) Bars, night clubs, taverns (that not serving food), gyms and fitness facilities (yoga, etc.), enterntainment such as movie theaters, recreational activities such as bowling, live sports, arcade), strip clubs, brothels, massage parlots, tattoos, body piercing, etc.

 

NO GAMING UNTIL THE GAMING BOARD SAYS.

 

Counties may modify but not exceed state minimum guidelines. For example, state says 50% max capacity, but a business owner may say only 25%. Business owners may not say 75% capacity because that exceeds state minimum guidelines. Businesses may require all customers wear face masks.

 

Eviction moratorium is still in effect.

 

Private businesses are not required to reopen. Each business owner may make their own choice in this regard. Private business owners may also modify but not exceed minimum state guidelines.

 

This directive goes into effect this Saturday, May 9, 2020 @ 12:01am and remains valid until May 30.
