Desert Haven Animal Society will continue to provide animal shelter services for Nye County for at least another year. The Nye County Board of Commissioners has voted to extend Desert Haven's contract until June 2021. The original proposal called for a three year extension. Commission Chair John Koenig abstained from the discussion and vote due to his re-election bid.
