The Nye County Board of Commissioners has reversed a decision made by the Nye County Water District Governing Board. In December, the Water Board approved increasing the per-parcel fee to 35 dollars to help pay for an exploratory project aimed at finding new sources of water for the Pahrump Valley. The Private Well Owners Cooperative Association of Nye County filed an appeal with the Board of Commissioners to reverse the Water Board's decision. And Tuesday, commissioners did just that -- reversing the decision and cancelling the proposed fee increase.
