The power was knocked out this evening in the area in Bannavich and Cody Street. A single vehicle hit a power pole causing the pole to break. The driver and only occupant declined to be transported by Pahrump Valley Fire and Rescue medics to local medical facilities. Valley Electric crews were dispatched to repair the pole. Nye County Sheriffs Deputies blocked traffic in the area.
