Several local shelters participated in last weekend's free pet adoption event, made possible by Maddie's Pet Project and the Dave and Cheryl Duffield Foundation. Lots of pets found their forever homes. And now, a vote for your favorite adoption story could win a local shelter a thousand-dollar grant.
