One person was transported to Desert View Hospital via Pahrump Valley Fire and Rescue ambulance after leading police on a pursuit through town this morning. It begin with a traffic stop in which the vehicle as stolen by Nye County Sheriffs Office Dispatch. The suspect then fled the scene in the SUV striking a deputy and his patrol motorcycle. The pursuit traveled on the highway, backroads and at one point on a sidewalk. Two individuals were reportedly inside the car when the chase began, a male driver and female passenger. Nevada Highway Patrol Troopers joined the pursuit with NCSO Deputies. The chase ended with the suspect car rendered disabled in the parking lot of Gold Town Casino. The vehicle went over the sidewalk hitting and damaging a cactus, and a large landscape rock. The driver was taken into custody at that time. The female was allegedly dropped off during the chase, but found by police a short time later. No injuries have been reported by the officer. His motorcycle sustained major damage.
